STS Labs was founded by engineer Rik Dawson, who brings over 20 years of experience in the energy industry and a strong commitment to sustainability.
While working as a recovery truck driver, he spent long hours on the road in a pick up truck. The idea was sparked on a typically wet British autumn weather, Rik found himself trying to dry rain soaked clothing on his vehicle’s fan vents. Sitting in the heat, he realised there must be a more innovative way to manage temperature. After weeks of searching, he found there there was no convenient product or method for drying clothes on the road, while on the move. So he developed the first functioning prototype.
That moment of insight led to the concept of harnessing a vehicle’s existing heating and cooling systems to deliver consistent, controlled temperatures for both comfort and function.

STS Labs, now operating from a registered office space, began conducting customer research, receiving 90% positive feedback and identifying a market demand for the ClimaCubby™.
We built on our initial prototype, conducted detailed product research and secured our first official investment.
The patent filing has been submitted and is officially pending, while MVP demos have been conducted, resulting in collaboration with Convoy4Ukraine and the development of more strategic partnerships.
